Meditation Shown to Have Positive Impacts on Mental Health

Meditation The journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience published an interesting article (Nov., 2012) depicting the possible health benefits of meditation.  Those who focused on compassion for 20 minutes a day for 8 weeks increased the levels of activation in the amygdala, a brain center focusing on things like emotions, memory and attention.  This correlated with lower levels of depression.  To read more, click here.
