ADHD, Stimulant Medications and Cardiac Risk

As with all other psychiatric conditions, it is critically important to rule out general medical issues that can be causing or worsening the psychiatric symptoms.

Physical examinations and screen tests (including labs) are very important in excluding these conditions. Additionally, making sure that medications are going to be helpful and not harmful is just as important.
